Image and the Benford's Law

چکیده
The Benford's law has been proposed in the very past in order to modelize the probability distribution of the rst digit in a set of natural numbers. In this report, we prove that this law is validated in the digital images domain, not for the images but for the magnitude of their gradient. We show, experimentaly, that this also apply for the laplacian pyramid code. This yields to the eld of entropy based coding which takes advantage of any a priori information about the probability of any symbol in the signal.
